An immersive bootcamp-style course covering a range of full-stack web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Redux, Node, Express, Knex, APIs, SQLite3 and testing methods.Dev Academy replicated a real-life simulated work environment and enabled me to broaden my learning techniques so as to pick up new skills quickly and take on challenging tasks with confidence.With a mixture of solo, pair and group programming, I was able to work on a number of projects in my time at EDA. Some highlights included my final group project, TakeMe, which had an environmental focus and a one-day project, BR2, a meditation website.Dev Academy enabled me to gain experience working with Agile practices in Agile teams. We focused on stand-ups and retrospectives, Agile roles, kanban and scrum methods and delivering a high-quality product continuously.
