Some figures for the TomTom mapshop:• Turnover of around Euro 80M with installed base of 10+ million users• Selling in 50 locals including Europe, USA, India, China and Australia,• Supporting 40 languages and 20 different currencies,• More than 200 different devices and introducing more than 20 device every year,• Every month new maps and map services are published,• Created a team of 25 team members with following expertise: requirements analyst, JAVA, GWT, HTML/CSS and Tridion CMS developers, testing for manual and automated testing, QA sign-off, SCRUM, deploy and release. This teams are responsible for delivery ‘end 2 end’ releases and deployments.The front-end team introduced a new platform based on GWT and used Tridion CMS. The back-end implemented a new service base architecture where we simplify the content publishing and deployment.
