Together with its partners the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) and the National Steering Committee on Peace Building and Conflict Management (NSC), the GIZ will conduct rapid conflict assessments in 13 counties in Kenya.- Conducted FGD’s with the community peace and security structures, youth, women, refugees, internally displaced persons (IDP’s) and Civil Society Organizations in Nairobi and Machakos Counties. - Conducted approximately 50 KII’s with various parties in the conflict monitoring, peace and cohesion building space from across the country. - Successfully conducted Conflict Mapping in the various FGD’s. - Supported the GIZ/NCIC/NSC research team in analyzing the results of the data collection.- Supported the team in preparation of validation workshop and participated in it too. - Supported the GIZ/NCIC/NSC research team in the county’s and final country report writing.
