Having previously worked as registered service manager at United Response, I have managed care homes and supported living services that provide high-quality person-centred care for adults with learning disabilities and autism. I have been in the health and social care sector since 2008 starting as a support worker, gaining experience and qualifications to work my way up to service management. In July 2021 I took on my first CQC registration. I hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services.My core competencies include autism spectrum disorders, positive behavior support, and challenging behaviour management. I am passionate about ensuring the people we support receive the best possible care and achieve positive outcomes. I also value and support my staff team, offering them individual and collective guidance, training, and recognition. I am committed to continuous improvement and learning, and I seek to apply my skills and knowledge to enhance the quality of life of the people we support and the performance of the organization. I have had an active role in carrying out assessments of new clients and properties as well as successful transition work when moving people to the next chapter in their lives. I have experience in project managing in both the closure/handover of services and opening and development of new services. I enjoy working with and networking with other providers and people in the sector. I feel this provides the opportunity to learn from each other and share ideas and creativity and can open doors for partnership working between organisations. I have recently moved into children’s services after seeking out a new and exciting opportunity.
