Elly Haddad, MS, LPC-MHSP (t) is a psychotherapist in the Green Hills area of Nashville working with clients experiencing grief, the after-effects of high-control Christian religious trauma, and undergoing personal reinvention, as well as those experiencing sexual dysfunction as a result of the Purity Culture. She holds a certificate as a Grief Informed Practitioner (CGP) and has been trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, Brainspotting, and as an Integrative Mental Health Professional.In addition to her MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Elly holds a holistic health coaching certificate from The Institute for Integrative Nutrition (in New York City), a Liberal Arts degree from Belmont University (emphasis on writing and communications), and is a certified yoga instructor. For nearly two decades, Elly has worked with large corporations, small businesses, universities, and non-profits throughout the eastern US to coordinate wellness programs, teach yoga classes, and present workshops on a variety of topics related to health and wellness. A “recovering Type-A,” Elly believes in the multifaceted power of yoga, meditation, and self-exploration to transform even the highest-strung over-thinkers into mindful, present beings – one often-complex layer at a time and places a high value on developing a strong therapeutic alliance with her clients. Her Person-Centered approach is accompanied by Mindfulness, Somatic, and Narrative techniques. Elly lives in Nashville, TN where she is a co-coordinator of the storytelling group, Tenx9 Nashville. She has completed a manuscript for her memoir about coming of age under the influence of high-control Christian Evangelicalism/Fundamentalism and has had several short stories published. She is currently accepting new clients at her psychotherapy practice in the Green Hills area of Nashville.
