I'm different from most other trainers.Most trainers begin by telling the client how to stand or where to move. To me, that's like putting the icing on the cake before it's baked. The process needs to begin by knowing the audience. Once you understand how people listen (or why they don't listen!) you understand what it takes to be a good public speaker. My more than twenty years of experience as a speech pathologist uniquely qualifies me to assist event the most challenged client to become a better public speaker.I bring twenty five years as a speech consultant, college instructor, and former speech pathologist to my presentation training programs. As a speechwriter and coach, I have helped countless individuals overcome their fears and become accomplished public speakers. I truly believe that anyone can learn to be an effective speaker- and have fun in the process!I have been a member of the American Society of Training and Development, Communications Professionals of Rockland, Leadership Rockland, and I am a past Vice President of the Rockland Sunrise Chapter of Toastmasters International. I've held faculty positions at Georgia State University, Dominican College, Manhattanville College and Rockland Community College, where I taught Public Speaking and Human Communication for nine years. I've been a media advisor and speech consultant to numerous political candidates, during their campaigns, and after.
