As a student at Brigham Young University-Idaho, with every intention of becoming a mental health therapist who specializes in Adverse Childhood Experiences, or ACE's, I have focused my time on working with people. Having worked in Extended Core classrooms and as a Respite Care Worker, I have developed skills necessary to work in fast-paced and unpredictable environments. Through my work, I have learned to work both in a team and individually to achieve common goals. Cooperation and collaboration have come naturally to me, but I am also able to work independently. The individuals I have worked with weren't always able to comprehend time and commitment, but it was important to them, and to me, that I be there when I said I would be there. Making and upholding my commitments is important to me and those I have worked with. Being a trauma therapist has become my passion. I want to help people, who had negative experiences as children, heal and become the best person they can be.
