CurrentPassionate in improving services for Children and Young People I have been involved in a variety of exciting projects:Responsible for quality management of the Darlington alternative education framework. Development of successful bids to 'SHINE' and 'TVCA' supporting the transition of children between early years and primary school in communication and language; and science curriculum between primary and secondary phases.Led the LA input into the Mental Health Support Team bid which was successful, the MHST is now running in all schools in Darlington.Responsible for development of successful bid to Careers Enterprise Company and subsequent project management of 'Moving On, Aiming High' support for Gypsy, Roma, Traveller young people in Darlington, recently commended by OFSTED in the local area SEND inspection.Review and writing of the LA SEND Accessibility Strategy, including management of consultation and Equality Impact Assessment.Development of the quality improvement framework for SEND high needs provision in Darlington, including bases and units for children with ASD, Speech and Language, Cognition and Learning, Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties; and Low Incidence Needs (VI, HI and physical needs). Working collaboratively to develop the 'Future in Mind' Darlington Transformation Plan and delivery of school projects.Successful bid to Health Education England, for workforce development training for schools to match fund projects funded by the NHS England Future in Mind strategy. Development of SEND Strategy Review project plan, consultation management, Equality Impact Assessment and submission of reports for approval.Development of the process for schools submission of SEND capital funding which has resulted in the development and building of new SEN units in Darlington for SEMH needs.
