There are always a thousand reasons not to do something, but there is only one reason to do it, and I found that reason in myself as INTEREST. While I was tired of the mathematical equations and algebra in high school, I enjoyed reading books that describe the human psyche. That became acute when I took my first course in General Psychology in my first year of the university. I took the first step in counseling when helping a friend who had problems at work and could not pay the university tuition. I felt so frustrated trying to deal with her issue that I decided to learn more about individual problems in the workplace and how to help those in need. This experience led me to study materials in the counseling field to understand more about the factors that cause difficulties at work. So, I found it intriguing to study in this field, and I decided to enroll in the master of counseling at Allameh Tabataba'i University.As a Master of Counseling, I have learned the importance of working closely with faculty members. A great deal can be accomplished by working with someone already an expert in the field. My postgraduate course has provided me with a better understanding of how an individual behaves the way he does in different situations.To follow my goals, I decided to enroll in a good university, and so I entered Iowa State University. Currently, I am a Ph.D. student in Human Development and Family Studies at ISU and serving as a RA/TA. I found that the future has so much amazing gifts for us; we just needed to try to find them. So, go ahead and don't give up, NEVER!
