With over 15 years of experience as a Registered Clinical Counsellor, I am a licensed Cognitive Behavioral Therapist and proficient in a range of integrative therapy techniques, including trauma-informed approaches. As a former founder of Salamate Avval Counseling Center, I've led teams and provided comprehensive support for various mental health challenges. Currently as a clinical counselor, I continue to offer trauma-informed counseling.Throughout my career, I've successfully navigated individual and couple counseling sessions, addressing needs in relationship issues, substance use, and chronic mental disorders. My commitment to ethical standards is evident in my role as a clinical supervisor, ensuring compliance and maintaining detailed clinical documentation.In my ongoing academic journey, I am pursuing a Master’s in Leadership in Health from Trinity Western University, complementing my earlier Master’s in General Psychology, and a Bachelor’s in Clinical Psychology. As a member of the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counselors, I bring a wealth of skills in CBT, clinical assessment, and motivational interviewing.Commencing on this new leadership-focused academic endeavor, I am eager to further develop my skills and knowledge, aiming to contribute positively to mental health and well-being through effective leadership and counseling practices.
