I represent CLINIC in strategic advocacy services. I currently lead advocacy portfolios related to asylum, naturalization, and religious workers.Develop and execute CLINIC’s advocacy agenda and strategy around asylum access, religious workers, and access to naturalization.Track and analyze law and policy and draft policy recommendations letters and correspondence to DHS and USCIS.Represent CLINIC at government engagements with USCIS and CIS Ombudsman’s personnel.Draft press releases statements and other strategic communications related to Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP), Title 42, and religious workers. Serve as media spokesperson for CLINIC on religious workers law and policy.Draft action alerts in support of policy changes related to MPP and Title 42. I advised U.S. religious organizations on R-1 immigration policies and procedures to assist in bringing foreign-born religious workers to work in the U.S.I managed a caseload ranging from 150-170 immigration cases and advised foreign nationals on maintaining lawful status in the U.S. and provided guidance through their application processes. I filed I-129 petitions for U.S. based religious organizations on behalf of foreign nationals, including filing extensions and change of status applications.I also prepared R-1 visa applications and corresponded with officials at the U.S. Consulates abroad and the State Department on behalf of religious workers.I advised the U.S. based petitioner on requirements and policies, the foreign national must adhere to in order to remain compliant with USCIS and Department of State regulations.Prepared renewals for R-1 and F-1 visa holders; prepared applications/renewals for Employment Authorization and Advance Parole.Prepared memoranda to USCIS on behalf of religious worker clients to advocate for their nonimmigrant benefits.Prepared and filed I-360 petitions, adjustment of status and naturalization applications for religious workers.
