Policy Advocate Attorney
CurrentI represent CLINIC in strategic advocacy services. I currently lead advocacy portfolios related to asylum, naturalization, and religious workers.Develop and execute CLINIC’s advocacy agenda and strategy around asylum access, religious workers, and access to naturalization.Track and analyze law and policy and draft policy recommendations letters and correspondence to DHS and USCIS.Represent CLINIC at government engagements with USCIS and CIS Ombudsman’s personnel.Draft press releases statements and other strategic communications related to Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP), Title 42, and religious workers. Serve as media spokesperson for CLINIC on religious workers law and policy.Draft action alerts in support of policy changes related to MPP and Title 42. Assist in leading and managing the Citizenship Test Working Group.Present at speaking engagements on CLINIC’s advocacy efforts.Author of a policy brief titled, "The Human Consequences of USCIS Policies and Backlogs on Religious Workers and the Communities They Serve".Author of Policy & Capacity Analysis of CLINIC’s Network Related to the Influx of Afghan Evacuees in Need of Legal Services.
