HENZO KENYA is a patients’ support and advocacy group registered as a community based organization in Kenya. It brings together patients of Leukemia and Gastro-intestinal stromal tumors (GIST), their relatives, caregivers, well-wishers, clinicians, policy experts and volunteers. These two rare cancers share a common targeted therapy, Glivec, which is manufactured by Novartis and availed worldwide by Max Foundation free of charge to thousands of deserving patients. HENZO is therefore a wholesome community where support for the afflicted and the affected is found. HENZO is a Swahili word meaning Love, and there is plenty of that within the group
