• Work with local communities and lead the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of climate change adaptation strategies that include:- Local technologies: using local technologies such as umi (water catchment pits) to control flooding around the communities that are vulnerable to climate change impacts. - Ecosystem-based adaptation: implementing suitable ecosystem-based adaptation measures.- Local legislation: passing and enforcing community-wide legislation to control human activities that tend to increase vulnerability of the communities to impacts of climate change.• Deliver tailored climate change education to a variety of audience, including village heads, community youth groups, students in secondary and tertiary institutions, university lecturers and professors, government staff and politicians, among others. • Develop Climate Change advocacy strategies and conduct awareness campaigns to educate the general public

Direct the Sustainable Aquaculture Supply in West and Central Africa (SASWeCA) project, a partnership initiative to help boost fish production, promote climate change adaptation of marine biodiversity, and tackle food insecurity and malnutrition in Cameroon, Ghana and Nigeria, which has achieved the following results: (a). Fish Supply and Marine Biodiversity Conservation:1.88 million kilograms of fishes produced via SASWeCA and same number conserved of the wide fish stock that is under increasing pressure from climate change.(b). Supply of Protein for Tackling Malnutrition: 348 million grams of protein.(c). Supply of Vitamin B12 for Tackling Malnutrition:54 million grams of vitamin B12.(d). Supply of Omega-3 Fatty Acids for Tackling Malnutrition: 14 million grams of Omega-3 fatty acids.• Lead the design and implementation of research, and coordinate with partners and vital stakeholders for dissemination, adoption, and uptake of research findings. • Coordinate the training of installation and maintenance technicians to enhance adoption and proliferation of mobile tarpaulin fishponds.

• Monitor national legislation and activities in the WASH sector to inform advocacy plans.• Develop and implement advocacy strategies to raise awareness about the importance of WASH in public health and climate resilience.• Oversee the technical design and construction of electric powered boreholes for the promotion of WASH in Nigeria and lead the evaluation of progress through outputs and impacts.

Built capacity and offered tailored advice around climate change to the Anambra State Ministry of Environment in order to mainstream climate change and biodiversity concerns into the activities of the Anambra State government via the Ministry.

Objective:Gather data and support the Monitoring and Evaluation of YIIFSWA (Yam Improvement for Income and Food Security in Africa), a Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation-sponsored project being delivered by the IITA (International Institute for Tropical Agriculture) to increase yam productivity (yield and net output) by 40 % for 200000 small holder farmers in Ghana and Nigeria.Duties:• Directly supervised four data enumerators for data collection activities in 12 communities spread across various local government areas of Edo and Enugu States• Actively contributed to feasibility plan of project areas ahead of visits and work• Led familiarity visits to community heads and organized community sensitization seminars • Effectively monitored and evaluated the YIIFSWA project undertaken in Anambra State • Prepared and wrote weekly technical reports • Executed primary routine data quality control

• Worked for the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) where local expertise and knowledge was offered to contribute to the global knowledge to support the world’s climate change body.• Undertook an expert review of the Contribution of the Working Group II (WGII) of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) to the Fifth Assessment Report (AR5): "Climate Change 2014: Impacts, Adaptation, and Vulnerability"• Ensured that the second-order draft chapters provided a balanced and comprehensive assessment of the latest scientific findings associated with the approved outline

Developed Climate Change advocacy strategies and successfully conducted campaigns in various states across the norther and southern regions of Nigeria, such as Benue, Abuja, Anambra, Akwa Ibom and Rivers States of Nigeria.

Effectively delivered climate change education to the general public through the media (radio and television programs).Organized educative climate change sessions for students in universities and secondary schools and helped to set up environment clubs.Effectively delivered tailored climate change education to village heads and leaders of communities affected by gully erosion (particularly Nanka), and proffered practical adaptation measures that can be put in place to help reduce the vulnerability of the communities to the impacts of climate change. Some of the local legislation, aimed at adaptation, that have since come into place in the communities include:- A ban on sand excavation within the community, - Mandatory provision of umi (water catchment pit) in every compound in Nanka to control flood during rainfall, - Restriction on the cutting down of bamboos and trees, etc.

Pioneered a research that strongly linked climate change as a contributory factor to the gully erosion activities ravaging agricultural lands, livelihoods, houses, roads, electricity lines and school buildings in Nanka and other communities in Anambra state and across the South-East of Nigeria.
