Data Scientist for the AI2Peat project. AI2Peat – All-Ireland, AI enhanced Peatland MonitoringPlatform – is a project funded by Research Ireland (Future Digital Challenge). Its consortium is composed of CeADAR – Ireland’s centre for AI – iCRAG – the SFI centre in applied geosciences – and NPWS – National Parks and Wildlife Service. My role involves applying machine and deep learning research on remote sensing multispectral data for the purpose of global peatland condition monitoring.

Instructor for the Oxbridge prep program astronomy major class. My role was to formulate the curriculum for this class and instruct the students based on this material. The aims of the course were for the students to develop a picture of the constituents of the Universe as a whole and how they broadly interact with each other, gain intuitive understanding of some of the physical concepts that form the backbone of theories, become acquainted with the major spacecraft that have been launched and their ground based, counterparts, understand some of the techniques used by researchers in astronomy and to encourage a curiosity based approach for developing deeper knowledge of the aspects covered in class.
