I love extracting knowledge from data and delivering insight to others by allowing that data to tell its story. I believe that all data has a story to tell, if there is a person with the tools and experience to allow that story to be conveyed to the key decision makers. This is why I am switching to a data science career after 15+ years working as a life science researcher. As a research scientist I enjoyed working in teams with other talented scientists, mentoring junior scientists, and designing/managing research projects . However, my true passion was always in the analysis/interpretation of data and in delivering compelling stories to the world using that data. As a recent graduate of the Galvanize Data Science Immersive Program, I am now pairing that passion and experience with training in Python programming, cloud/distributed computing and machine learning to make myself a great addition to any data science team.
