I have many passions in life, yet two of my most beloved are writing and fashion. Choosing to study at Trinity College Dublin has proved the ideal place to pursue both, through my English Literature studies and also through my positions as Deputy Fashion Editor for the University Times and Assistant Secretary for Trinity Fashion Society.My role as Deputy Fashion Editor has primarily enhanced my ability to be creative, think outside the box, meet deadlines and work under pressure, as I am obligated to write at least one article a month as well as edit others’ work.My role as Assistant Secretary for Trinity Fashion Society has primarily enhanced my teamwork and communication skills, through working with others on the committee to plan events, namely the 2024 Trinity Fashion Show, for which I worked as one of the eight stylists.All of this was pre-empted by many years of experience. I spent six months working in Rome as an English teaching au pair, which enhanced not only my communication and childcare skills, but living in such a vibrant city also further spurred my love for fashion and provided me with great insight.Years of volunteering in Oxfam Charity shop gave me insight into retail as well as enhancing my communication skills with the public and creativity in organising shop floor layout.
