Remit:In this 360° role, leadership was demonstrated by building and overseeing a team of eight volunteers, and coordinating fortnightly citywide music events. Working as assistant to the Festivals Officer, Dawson Smith, and within the Festival and Events Unit as a whole I undertook many administrative, communicative and organisational roles.■ shadowed the Festivals Officer, Dawson Smith as well as other unit personnel ■ took minutes at planning and post-event meetings, involving diverse stakeholders, for festivals including Diwali celebrations and Riverside Music Festival.■ the year placement culminated in planning, marketing and co-ordinating my own day-long music event with a small grant I applied for via the Festival and Events Unit. This was graded as part of my BA Hon's degree.
