• Conducted research about my thesis titled “Three-Dimensional Digitization of Objects”.
• Created a hybrid methodology that combines two scanning methods, active scanning and photogrammetry.
• Scanned the subjects using both methods, merged the non-distorted areas from each 3D model into a single point cloud, processed them, and extracted them as a single 3D model.
• Achieved to successfully mitigate the deformations, noise, and sampling artifacts that occur during 3D digitization processes.
• Improved notably their geometry, as they were more accurate to the original specimens than the initial 3D model, while ensuring the seamless integration of the replacements in terms of geometry and texture
• Guaranteed that no distortion was detected in the non-replaced areas rendering the results suitable for the digital zooarchaeological comparative collection of the ASCSA or for similar research purposes.
