Tribune Publishing, headquartered in Chicago, is a media company rooted in award-winning journalism and operates local media businesses in eight markets.I oversaw all aspects of events business with the entirety of Tribune Publishing markets encompassing New York, Chicago, South Florida, Orlando, Baltimore, Hartford, Virginia, and Allentown; supervise 6 direct reports and manage 30 additional team members. Directed event sales, marketing, operations, production, sponsorships, financial planning, budget management, training, and localization of signature and custom events; develop exceptional event experiences. Grew profitability through audience development and programming, scaled operations and management. Launched numerous successful key events including inaugural Chicago Tribune Food Bowl and inaugural San Diego Union Tribune Festival of Books.• Enhanced operational efficiencies by developing and implementing various processes and standards, including CRM usage for event teams to track pipeline, activity, and closed business; event playbook templates for Event Managers; marketing templates, style guides, and guidelines for scaled events; streamlining ticketing and data capture to one platform across all markets; and operating procedures for sales, operations, and programming.
