I am involved in capacity building for voluntary organisations. I take an active interest in education, health and social care aspects particularly from the perspective of disadvantaged black and minority ethnic (BME) groups in the community. I frequently advocate on behalf of marginalised groups and individuals, listening to their issues and concerns and lending a ‘voice’ to taking these matters to where they can make a difference.I have had considerable experience as a schools governor, governor trainer and events facilitator. I possess the ability to think and plan ahead as well as being highly patient and community focussed and passionately committed to social justice, inclusion and fair play. I am able to communicate at all levels from grassroots to the higher echelons of decision making agencies. I work well in leading a team as well as being a keen team player. I believe in the ethos of services that are accessible to all and for delivering a quality of service that is world class.
