I started with Randstad in 2006 as a permanent recruitment specialist in the commercial sector. This role was a new one for the business due to growth and I started on a cold desk. In my first full year of consulting I built a strong client profile which led to repeat business. I also managed a business that saw me receive constant candidate referrals due to a strong candidate care program. I finished my first year with the business ranked 2nd highest biller for the AsiaPac region.Within 15 months of starting with Randstad I was promoted to the role of Executive Manager of the Business Support division in Canberra, managing a team of 6 consultants. In this role I was responsible for the growth of the business in all areas which included both temporary and permanent recruitment in federal and state government as well as commercial sectors. In 2011 the Canberra business support division won the esteemed title of highest achieving office for the AsiaPac region delivering above budget results despite tough market conditions. With an extremely low staff turnover, a dedicated, committed and knowledgeable team was built which allowed the achievement to be realised. In April 2012 I took 12 months maternity leave.I returned to the Sydney business in the capacity of Team Development Manager, I re-joined the business support team, specialising in permanent recruitment.In this role I worked with the consultants in a mentoring and training capacity. Working with both experienced and new consultants, I provided hands on practical training and guidance as well theoretical process training.After 3 years working across the Sydney and Parramatta offices, I relocated back to Canberra and the position of Commercial Sales Manager was created for me. In the role I was responsible for the growth of business across the Canberra region, focused on SME clients.
