Experienced in bridging international funding with human rights and social justice organizing through direct grantmaking, strategic interventions, advocacy, programs and project design, research, convenings, and more, Elsa has been working with Urgent Action Fund for Feminist Activism as Senior Program Officer. She has also kept working with global grassroots movements for over ten years, focused on a multitude of thematic areas intersecting with gender and social justice in a multitude of roles which include mobilizing, relationship building, organizing and fundraising.She is a board member as well as advisor to several organizations and funding entities such as the Act Together for Inclusion Fund - a Canadian entity supporting the advancement of LGBTQ2I groups and individuals internationally. Elsa is also the co-founder and Coordinator of SWANA folks in Philanthropy and was a fellow at Rockwood Leadership’s 2023 Cohort of Equity in Philanthropy. Her interests and skills are centered around a passion for art, history, critical theory, diasporic movements, advocacy, philanthropy, digital rights, disability and gender justice.
