As an Honors Bachelor of Science candidate in Public Health at Oregon State University, I am driven by a passion for health promotion and environmental health. My academic journey, as well as my minor in Environmental and Occupational Health and a Certificate in Medical Humanities, has provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the complexities involved in public health issues. Through my coursework, including subjects such as Epidemiology, Health Policy, and Environmental Law, I have developed a strong foundation in both theoretical knowledge and practical application. My hands-on experience working at Mike and Debbie’s Produce and Trader Bing’s Café has helped to hone my abilities in customer service, team leadership, and project management, and have improved my capacity to thrive in fast-paced environments and manage responsibilities effectively. My volunteer work with PERIOD and other community organizations has made me even more committed to addressing health disparities and promoting equity in communities worldwide. I am eager to use my skills and experiences in a professional setting where I can continue to learn, grow, and make a positive impact on the world. I am particularly interested in opportunities that allow me to engage in health promotion, environmental health, and public health advocacy.
