Dr. Ibrahim (Ph.D. Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmaceutical Analytical Chemistry) is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the National Center for Natural Products Research, School of Pharmacy, The University of Mississippi, USA. In addition, Dr. Ibrahim served as an Associate Professor at the Pharmaceutical Analytical Chemistry department, Faculty of Pharmacy, Suez Canal University, Egypt where he has been working as a staff member since 2006. During these years, Dr. Ibrahim progressed in his academic career as a postgraduate student and teaching staff with a significant interest in Pharmaceutical Analysis, Natural Products Chemistry, Cannabis Chemistry, and Forensic Chemistry. During 2016-2018 Elsayed was awarded a Joint supervision Ph.D. Scholarship from the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education where the University of Mississippi, hosted him. During this time, Elsayed worked on different Marijuana projects specifically on cannabis metabolites (cannabinoid and non-cannabinoid contents), in addition to natural product chemistry.Dr. Ibrahim is a dedicated and enthusiastic Research Scientist with a strong background in teaching and research. Dr. Ibrahim has hands-on experience working in analytical instrumentation (GC, GC-MS, LC-MS/MS, and HPLC). Dr. Ibrahim is highly motivated with solid communication skills and good knowledge of experimental techniques such as Mass Spectrometry.Following is a list of his scientific experiences. • Fluency in analytical methods (developing and validating different analytical methods).• Excellent knowledge of chromatographic and laboratory software (Waters Empower®, Agilent Chemistation®, Analyst®).• Competency in performing calculations related to testing to convert raw data into final sample results.• Professional writing of scientific papers, reviews, book chapters, and reports.• Analysis of the biologically active compounds in herbal and natural products using advanced analytical techniques.• Analysis of active pharmaceutical ingredients and related excipients in dosage forms and biological fluids.• Excellent operation of different analytical techniques; GC-FID, GC-MS, HPLC-UV, HPLC-PDA, and LC-MS-MS.• Development and validation of stability-indicating assays.• Development and validation of GC-FID methods for the determination of Cannabis metabolites.
