Preparation of contract documents and negotiations with the clients, vessel charterers/ owners.Liaise with the Flag State, Classification Societies in arranging classification surveys and follow up of class recommendations if any.Liaise with repairing companies/ repair yards in coordinating ship maintenance works.Maintain a track of the day-to-day operations of the vessels owned by the company as well as the chartered vessels.Monitoring and supervising the ship's voyages, giving orders for sailing and voyages and informing all parties concerned with respect of cargo bookings.Ensure the maintenance of Company owned vessels and Conduct vessel condition inspection on board the vessels.Check monthly reports from Master and Chief Engineer and review and authorize engineering requisition of vessels.Prepare safety documentation related to Technical aspects.Conduct Internal Audits.Purchase or contract for supplies, services and equipment required. Negotiate and recommend execution of contracts for the purchase of supplies, services and equipment.Procure the needed quality in supplies, services and equipment at least expense.Discourage uniform bidding and endeavor to obtain as full and open competition as possible on all purchases.Prescribe and maintain such forms as are reasonably necessary to conform to the requirements of rules and regulations.Supervise the inspection of all supplies, services and equipment purchased to insure conformance with specifications.Receiving and entering of all delivery and supply documents.Complete all procedures of parcel from owner’s to master. Coordinates with Vessel Agents, shipper to continuously update vessel arrival schedules, check product and berth availability, examine vessel characteristics and review shipping documentation and sampling instructions, in preparation for vessel and cargo acceptance.Reviews per-arrival information telexes from Agents to check vessel details, ETAs (Expected Time of Arrival).
