Profile bio

About Erik Schadler

When I was a little kid, I took everything I had apart. Putting it back together and still working was another thing. My parents and grandparents always told me, if you're gonna take it apart make sure you put it back together and it still works. So I took those words of encouragement and flourished. Whatever toy I had, I found ways to improve and modify it to make it unique. That passion still holds true today. My job experience started off in high school working at in retail at a Farm store. Really didn't care for it until they moved me into the Tire Shop. This excited me as I was able to get back to working with my hands and interacting with the customers while I repaired or replaced their tires. Unfortunately the store was purchased from another competitor and we were forced to close our doors. After working in retail, I moved to manufacturing. At first I started out as a button pusher working on CNC mills, hydraulic presses, hydraulic bender, and just ordinary shop tools like lathes, grinders, and such. I started fixing my own problems without the help of Maintenance and the boss seen. From there they moved me into setting up our equipment for different jobs. I never looked back and progressed thru the company to become the Production Supervisor of that department. I was able to still do what I loved and expanded my skills by training new and existing employees on new job rolls. Life happened in 2008 and I lost my job that I truly loved doing. The crazy thing was, I never thought of it as a job to me because never dreaded a day going in.So in 2008, I started in a completely different line of work of Field Service. This type of work is exciting. Almost everyday is something different at a different location interacting with my customers. I still get to work on equipment everyday by resolving complex or unique problems, upgrading the software/firmware, and even installing our equipment. Now there's new challenges that I have to face. I have to make sure my customers are getting their service within the limits of their contract that outline their SLA's, First Time Fix, Preventative Maintenance Schedules, and objectives that are set by my employer that I also have to meet. I have to say, being in this field for the past 13 yrs. has been fun. Can't wait to see what the rest of career holds for me. Next stop...maybe management? Sure why not. I love challenges.

Listed skills include Process Scheduler, Quality Control, Inventory, Jd Edwards, and 25 others.
