Got fully trained as a barista and cook for the months before I moved back to the West coast.

Completed student teaching as well as was formally hired and paid as a full time 3rd grade classroom teacher at Horace Mann. Created and taught lessons in math, literature, social studies, science, as well as social emotional learning.

Served as a bartender/beertender and server for sometimes up to crowds of 300 in this small local beer garden. Became familiar with craft brewing in the area as well as brewing process.

Student taught in a 5th grade class for the first semester. Created and taught social studies and literature lessons aligning with DC teaching standards for this grade group.

National service member at AmeriCorps southwest region. Served for 10 months on a team and graduated after serving on 5 separate work assignments ranging from teaching at boys and girls club, becoming chainsaw certified to complete trail work, and joining a demo and construction team working on housing affected by Hurricane Harvey.
