Ms. Else Marie Andersen is a Danish national and holds a Master in Food Sciences and a Master in Management Development. Ms. Andersen has more that 35 years of experience in the seafood sector, focusing on all aspects of microbiology testing, inspection and quality control of seafood products. She held successive positions as Quality and Product Development Manager for various private seafood companies in Scandinavia and for the government sponsored Danish Institute for Fishery Technology and Aquaculture (DIFTA) as well as on aid projects in Vietnam, Indonesia, other ASEAN countries and ACP countries. She has gained highly versatile and relevant knowledge about the seafood sector both from the perspective of the private business operators and from the viewpoint of the government control enforcement agencies in EU and non-EU countries exporting to EU. Under contract with AETS and AENOR she has been a main actor in DG Sante´s Better Training for Safer Food programme since 2006, holding positions as Lead Tutor, Technical Coordinator and Tutor mainly in workshops on Hygiene and Official Controls of Fishery Products and Live Bivalve Molluscs .
