Elsebeth Krogh is currently holding the position as Department Director for National Human Rights Systems at the Danish Institute for Human Rights. Previously, she was Executive Director of IWGIA - International Work Group on Indigenous Affairs. From 2012 to 2016, she was CEO of Centre for Culture and Development. She has also practised as a senior consultant through her company Copenhagen Consultants ApS. She has worked more than 25 years in the field of international development and humanitarian action. Elsebeth's areas of expertise include culture and development, humanitarian assistance, programming in conflict-affected areas and fragile states, refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs), civil-military cooperation, humanitarian mine action, human rights and advocacy, socio-economic surveys, community based development, management and organisational development, and gender equality. She has extensive experience from 40+ countries in The Global South. She has specialised in rights-based approaches, programming, appraisals, reviews and evaluations, civil society and governance.
