Directed strategy and led tactical execution to maximize effectiveness of fundraising programs and events by attracting, retaining, and motivating donors and volunteers to reach pledge goal of ~$2.0 million in support of the Church’s mission and goals at Houston’s oldest Catholic Church still in use today, located downtown with a vibrant community of all ages and backgrounds.Fundraising Campaign Management• Oversaw on-going management of the $1.4 million fundraising campaign initiated in 2015 with the assistance from Walsh & Associates Church Capital Campaign Specialists; generated $700,000 of the total while in position.• Launched a Building Fund Campaign that generated a total of $700,000 from various fundraisers.• Maintained continuous communication and reporting on campaigns and processed incoming funds with help of volunteers.Retail Store Operations• Conceived and implemented an idea to open up a “pop-up” retail store to seize an opportunity to create awareness for the Church and raise funds, leveraging the Church’s prime location adjacent to the 2017 Super Bowl and the Houston Astros.• Generated $200,000 in revenue over 18 months through the sale of religious articles, Church promotional items, and rosaries in the colors of the Astros, Super Bowl and World Series teams at the store which was set-up in front of the Church.Event Planning & Execution• Planned, managed and executed various events to create awareness for the Church in the community; included logistics, set-up, volunteer staffing, break-down, and in-kind support; grew parish membership from 350 to 450 families in two years. • Executed promotional events centered on service to the community which were centered on sacred music, architecture, and historical value of the Church.• Built & staffed volunteer event committees to ensure successful attainment of logistical and operational goals for each event. • Handled all graphic design & production, and promotion of events.
