• Analysis and method development for food, pharmaceutical samples, including traditional Chinese medicines for contaminants, preservatives and active pharmaceutical ingredients.
• Perform quarterly instrument system checks, troubleshooting and internal preventive maintenance on HPLC and LC-MS/MS systems
• Participation in Proficiency Testing
• Draft and review new and existing test procedures
• Conduct laboratory investigation upon lab errors and OOS (out of specs) when required and take corrective actions
• To review and approve raw test data in the absence of the laboratory manager

Boon Lay

• Planning, scheduling and supervising of QC testing (finished products, raw materials and stability products)
• To ensure and maintain cleanliness and safety of the QC laboratory according to the Good Laboratory Practices
• To ensure QC testing of products are completed on time and be able to provide accurate and timely results on a consistent basis
• To conduct laboratory investigation upon lab errors and OOS (out of specs) when required
• To review test reports (finished products, raw materials, stability samples and non-routine samples) and approve QC test reports when required

• Analysis of Western Pharmaceutical samples for regulatory purposes
• Perform regular calibration, maintenance and troubleshooting on analytical instruments used
• Participate in Lovastatin (hypolipidemic agent) project to optimise the testing method for the compound in Red Yeast Rice.
