Elspeth Clements is Managing Director of Clements and Porter Architects, a General Practice based in Shoreditch, London and is an accredited Conservation Architect. Current non Practice activities include nationally elected member of of RIBA Council, member of RIBA Membership Board, member of RIBA Planning and Urban Design Committee, Vice Chairman of the Highgate Neighbourhood Forum, where she is leading on the production of the Neighbourhood Plan and Chairman of Highgate Society Planning Group. She is a member of the RSA. Education activities currently include Independent Examiner for the ARB and Professional Examiner at the Bartlett, RIBA North West and APEAS in Scotland. and Governor of South Hampstead School for Girls.Past experience includes founding the Women in Property Network and Chairmanship from 1988-1990. She has been an RIBA and ARB Board Member and was Chairman of the RIBA London Region and Small Practice Committee. Other past committee memberships in the RIBA include the Validation Panel, the Warne Task Force, the Education Committee, Course Changes Group and Practice Committee. On ARCUK/ARB she has been a member of the Education Committee and Proscription Committee and an ARB Investigator.She has been an External Examiner for RIBA NW Region Part 3 Course from and has been an External and Professional Examiner at Parts 1, 2 and 3 levels.She has judged various architectural design awards and competitions and has delivered presentations and papers on various aspects of the architectural profession.
