I am an interdisciplinary ecologist with a broad range of interests and expertise. I have a research background in movement ecology, environmental modelling, bird flight and human-wildlife interactions, particularly in the context of offshore wind and seabirds. My current work at Coventry City Council and the West Midlands Combined Authority builds upon my interests in spatial ecology to conduct work around creating and sustaining functional biodiverse habitats in an urban environment, through planning, local policy, and community collaboration. I'm also a big fan of citizen science, data visualisation (especially mapping) and natural history. I'm always interested in talking about: - Movement ecology - Animal behaviour - Environmental modelling - Mechanistic behavioural and spatial models - Conservation and renewable energies - Spatial data science - Interdisciplinary science and education - Interfaces in science and policy making - Biodiversity Net Gain - Habitat and species monitoring with citizen science - The biodiversity emergency - Gulls (and why I love them)
