I was responsible for controlling, delivering and reporting on Qantas Engineering Supply Chain Division.Key achievements and experience:• Implemented a KPI reporting system for the Airbus A330 and Airbus A380 component exchange projects using Cognos BI (version 8.4) and an Oracle based data warehouse system. This enables the management to monitor and control suppliers’ and its own performance related all parts delivery for the A330 and A380 fleets.• Implemented a Repair Management KPI reporting system. The reporting enables management to control cost by monitoring every stop where a repair occurs.• Deployed a single reporting and analysis service platform using Cognos BI and an Oracle based data warehouse system. The reporting platform enables each sub division within Supply Chain create reports and analyse business performance.

I worked for the Defence Material Organisation (DMO) unit of the Federal Department of Defence and my role is to develop a Cognos based Reporting System for the Departments Workforce Planning System. The role of this system is the management of all personnel, equipment and materials.Key achievements and experience:• Developed a system to integrate history data into the current system. This enables the customer to monitor the history of personnel movements, project resource allocations, and material procurements.• Upgraded databases for applications server (Workforce Planning System) and Cognos BI, from SQL Server 2000 to SQL Server 2005. This enables the customer to be compliant with defence standards and have a more reliable, efficient and high performance system. It also enables the customer to use new technologies such as SSIS (Integration Server), and SSAS (Analysis Server).• Upgraded Cognos BI system from ReportNet to Cognos 8.4 (Workforce Planning System). This enabled the customer to comply with the defence wide standards (current supported version), and make use of the advanced functions available in the new version.• Re-designed the existing Cognos BI system to improve performance and consolidate three different models in to a single model. The changes made the system more simple and easier to use. The re-design of the models eliminated errors and improved reporting performance.

IBS Australia Pty Ltd is an ERP application vendor for Automotive, Supply chain, Publishing and Pharmaceutical industries. My role involved the development, implementation, support, administration and training of Business Intelligence solution, for utilisation by the IBS Automotive ERP system customer base.Key achievements and experience:• Developed an early warning business analysis and reporting solution using Business Intelligence software tools as the the Customer’s Engineering department Problem Analysis Group (PAG) had difficulties in identifying problems with locally produced and imported cars. Initiated a team consisting of the Warranty analyst, members of the PAG, and myself. Conducted several meetings to identify and document exact deliverables and designed the solution using Cognos tools. The final product included Cognos OLAP cubes, reports and a database for ad-hoc reporting. As a result, the PAG group was able to identify problems with cars at a very early stage and rectify them at the production line. The solution saved the customer millions of dollars by avoiding costly vehicle recalls, enabling improved product quality and greater customer satisfaction. • Engineered a solution to analyse and report on Dealer performance, Warranty cost, managing labour hours related to Warranty claims and Dealer Self Approval process (DSAP) as prior to this, the customer’s Warranty department was unable to analyse these key performance areas of the business. Collaborated with the Warranty analyst and provided a solution based on Cognos OLAP cubes for analysis and reporting. As a result, the customer could analyse and control costs related to Warranty claims.
