I am a project generalist based in Rockville, MD with a passion for writing and a knack for financial management. I earned my BFA in Graphic Design at Marshall University in Huntington, WV. My bookbinding and illustration has earned fine art awards. I have created content on national and international levels. In 2018, I helped developed an award winning marketing campaign strategy to promote local food consumption as an employee of the West Virginia Farmers Market Association (WVFMA).As the WVFMA Executive Director, I worked on numerous projects including supporting food hub initiatives, resource management, digital and print communications, operations and project management and team coordination. My work has identified challenges and barriers to business development at the farm level, and I've used data gleaned from the organization’s work to guide its current and future programs. During my tenor, I was the primary personnel to write, deploy, and analyze data collection surveys, and develop beautiful visual aids to assist the organization's members in understanding their business trends. I assisted six farmers markets between 2017 and 2020 in understanding sales trends and seasonal changes affecting their businesses. In 2020, my analysis assisted an additional nine farmers market managers to better understand their market’s annual growth and provided guidance for how to improve their business models. My background in multimedia and user interface technology has been an asset and invaluable resource to over 300 small businesses in West Virginia, Ohio, and Kentucky. Between 2018 and 2022, I wrote several grant proposals which allowed communities in West Virginia receive over $7.5M in funding.Recently I have relocated to the greater Washington, DC area. In the coming years I will be seeking to publish my first novel.
