Operations Manager for Macalister Fire District which spans from the Gippsland coast, through to the remote reaches of the Gippsland high country. Responsible for the operational delivery of what was the largest rural fire district in New Zealand covering 12.5% of the country, managing significant asset portfolio which included people and or equipment located across 32 locations and multiple parner agencies.

Primarily involved with delivery of rural fire component of recruit, qualified fire fighter and senior fire fighter on a part time basis. Included organising and delivering formal training programs with individual Brigades (both career & volunteer).

Primary focus being the delivery of rural fire officer legislation programs, as well as operational leadership development across rural fire authorities in the South Island.

Delivery of a range of training and assessment against relevant New Zealand Qualifications Authority standards, including lead trainer for lower South Island Crew Leader courses and in-district courses.
