I didn’t always want to be an accountant when I grew up. Why would anyone want to be an accountant? It is quite literally known as a ‘boring’ profession. I have my suspicions about anyone who says otherwise. Years later, not only do I find myself employed as an accountant, I enjoy it! I should clarify. When one is in the business of numbers, one might find that some numbers are in fact ‘boring’. But not all numbers are created equal, some numbers tell a story. Some of these stories can drive a business, others can spell disaster, and others still tell us that we can do things better.At the end of the day financial data is an integral part of every successful organisation. I focus on using my knowledge and skills to support organisations succeed and improve. Be it through identification of risks in an assurance context, or strategic planning underpinned by financial forecasts, I am passionate about partnering with my clients to improve their business.
