With a team of my peers, I supported a class of students during their research into social inequalities. This involved collaborating with their teacher via zoom, email, and in-person group meetings. After researching, communicating, and applying technical information, we developed programs and classroom activities that best suited this group of students. These programs addressed equity and social justice, and explained the roles that institutional racism and oppression play in inequitable outcomes in Washington State. Over the course of their semester, I managed multiple complex projects while maintaining strong partnerships with every team member involved. During my time with Squalicum, my team and I built connections with teachers, students, and professors. I collaborated by engaging in project planning, implementation, monitoring, and at the end of the semester, evaluation.
