I find joy in making cities work for the people who live in them, and how better to do this than improving how large infrastructure projects are run. Projects rarely fail because we haven't yet discovered some silver bullet technology; they fail due to lapses in communication, unrealistic schedules, and grossly underestimated costs. I take the time to understand stakeholder concerns. I hold the team accountable to the schedule. And, I diligently comb through cost estimates to determine what is yet to be quantified. When I’m not trying to build infrastructure, I’m out there using it. On the weekend, you can find me riding around Toronto’s streets on my bike, running through our city’s ravines, and organizing grassroots alley cat races.
