As a keeper apprentice I worked with the full time keepers to assist in the care of the bird collection at Denver Zoo. As a keeper apprentice I functioned as a relief keeper on the full time keepers days off. This also included the training of interns and new apprentices, public presentations as well as more personal guest interactions.

Greater Denver Area

As an Instructor for Summer Safari at the Denver Zoo I have gained considerable experience working with kids from kindergarten-8th grade in a camp setting. I have also gained considerable knowledge about the zoo and the animals that would help provide an enjoyable and educational experience for the campers.I gained valuable experience in the areas of guest relations and public presentations in a zoo setting. As instructor for Denver Zoos overnight program I facilitate tours and activities for both child and adult participants in an educational manner that positively portrays the zoo message.Trained in animal handling of invertebrates, mammals and reptiles.

Fort Collins, Colorado Area

As a volunteer I preform basic animal husbandry for injured and educational use raptors, as well as doing public presentations for the Fort Collins Community.

Livermore Colorado

Currently I am involved in the incubation of emu eggs, food preparation, husbandry and training of adult emus, creation of enrichment, and habitat maintenance and improvements. In the spring when the eggs hatch I will be involved in the care of the chicks.

As a Lab Intern I preformed basic diet prep and care for invertebrates and gained experience working in a scientific lab.

As a Youth Mentor for The First Tee I worked directly with kids, teens, and other adults to use golf as a tool to educate kids academically, socially, and physically.
