I am a current student at Colorado State University. In may 2013 I will graduate with a BS degree in zoological science. I am searching for a Job involving the care of animals in a captive environment. I started as a teen volunteer at Denver Zoo in 2007 and was involved in animal care and education until I was 18 and graduated from the program in 2010. During that same time I was a youth mentor at The First Tee of Denver where I worked with kids age 4-16 using golf as a tool to help them grow as an athlete and a person. In 2011 I was hired as education staff at Denver Zoo. For this position I preformed fun educational programs for people age 4-Adult in both formal and informal settings. In 2012 in addition to being full time education staff I started as a bird intern two days a week also at Denver Zoo. After 3 months of being a unpaid intern. I was hired as a keeper apprentice in the bird area of Denver Zoo. Currently as a student I work one day a week in the Bird Department and 2-3 times a month in Education.
