> Preparing lesson plans including learning activities designed to coincide with a full range of learning abilities and various learning styles of high school aged students at appropriate grade levels > Keep department members informed as to latest developments in classroom management, instructional techniques and advancements in knowledge regarding the learning process.> Keep department members coordinated in subject matter scope andsequence as well as skill development.> Serve as an informal mentor for new teachers.> Coordinate budget requisitions among 10 athletic activities.> Coordinate time - space requirements among athletic activities andbetween them and other student activities.> Schedule events and hire officials.> Arrange for transportation to "away" events.> Assign and supervise ticket selling and crowd control for all homeevents.> Arrange for seasonal "awards" presentation events.> Hold regular monthly dinner meetings with all of the coaches to insure all coaches are up to date on all laws and rules pertaining tocoaching and athletic events; ensure that every coach is aware of any and all problems involving any or all athletics; ensure that every coach is aware of any and all upcoming coaching vacancies; keep open friendly lines of communications among and between the coaches and between them and the Athletic Director's office.> Frequent inspection of all athletic equipment and facilities to assist in the maintenance of an appropriate schedule of maintenance, repair, or replacement as the case might dictate.> Ensure equal opportunity for all students to participate in all activities.> Frequently observe practice sessions to be aware of the appropriateness of all coaches styles to help ensure that appropriate safety concerns are addressed; and that the opportunity to participate to every student is in evidence.> From applications, recommend to the Superintendent, coaches to be hired for new or vacant positions
