The plan consists of acceptance testing of UMTS terminals (Motorola, NEC) with validation of UEs functionality on different network architectures (Siemens-Nec, Ericsson): • Decide the right tests category in order to verify the correct signalling between the mobile phone and the network elements as Node B, RNC, Core Network, during the main procedures (Handover , Cell selection/reselection, Power Control, Location Updating, ecc).• Coordination of network and terminals suppliers during testing activities• Troubleshooting of bugs (signalling analysis: Layer3 messages, sometimes also Layer2, on Iu e Iub interfaces and network/terminals logs analysis) in order to determine the issues and the origin of faults• Supplementary Services testing on 3G terminals( CLIP, CLIR, COLP,COLR, HOLD, CW, 3PTY, CONF, Call Forwarding, Call Barring)• Daily reports of testing activity
