• Organize, plan and prioritize daily workload and activities in the functional area.• Confer with supervisors and other leads to coordinate operations and activities within or between shifts and other functional areas. • Establish production sequences and assignments to meet production goals.• Identify, recommend and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality and efficiency. Provides guidance and expert advice on technical, systems-, or process- related topics.• Enforce safety procedures and guide lines, and housekeeping practices.• Identifies training needs, and conducts training in equipment operations or work and safety procedures.• Observes technical performance of the area staff and provides on the spot guidance.• Maintain clean and organized work area with emphasis on safety, quality, efficiency, and utilization.• Continually seek to improve work processes and individual performance.

• Ensure proper procedures are in place and being followed for production efficiency, quality of product, employee safety, and state and federal guidelines• Collaborates with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments• Maintains time and production records as required.• Recommends improvements to production methods, equipment performance and quality of product• Works with plant management and other supervisory staff to assign, direct, review and monitor work of supervised staff to maximize productivity in the plant• Evaluates needs in production for daily assignment of duties; establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules• Provides supervision of assigned employees in scheduling and daily activities, ensuring effective selection, retention, feedback, disciplinary action and performance management. If a collective bargaining agreement exists, may participate grievances

• Supervise all phases of shipping and/or warehouse operations including shipping schedules, loading operations and material handling activities• Maintain inventory and product loss control, coordinate timely and accurate shipping and receiving, and ensure safety/operational guidelines are met• Ensure proper procedures are in place and being followed for production efficiency, quality of product, and employee safety • Work with plant management and other supervisory staff to assign, direct, review and monitor work of supervised staff to maximize productivity warehouse and shipping department• Recommend improvements to reduce cost and drive productivity within the department while achieving the targeted Sales to Service Goals• Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist workers in solving work problems.• Maintain time and shipping records as required• Ensure the cooler work area is clean and organized at all times• Provide supervision of assigned employees in scheduling and daily activities, ensuring effective selection, retention, feedback, disciplinary action and performance management• Participate in grievances or other contract related activities and discussions• Train and instruct employees in regard to work performed in shipping and warehouse• Oversee instruction, implementation and enforcement of policies as they relate to employees• Lead by example with the Dean Foods Code of Ethics – including following Company policies, standards and specifications• Engage in the typical responsibilities of a manager requiring planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating and delegating• Conduct interviews as required
