O oficial do Corpo de Engenharia gerencia e conduz as atividades de pesquisa, desenvolvimento, manutenção e projetos de meios navais, aeronavais e de fuzileiros navais e de seus equipamentos, além de realizar outras atividades específicas da Engenharia Mecânica.

Activities included:Handling of machinery in different mechanical manufacturing processes.Development of mechanical systems, supports and parts necessary to enable the UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) to receive embedded systems that enabled its autonomous movement. Design and development of an ejection capsule with cargo compartment and parachute. Documentation of the UAV componente using CAD software.

- Simulation of the hearing sensitivity to physical stimuli arising from the sound over environments according to the Fechner proposal, based on logarithmic formulation;- Applied A-weighting filters to the spectra to properly simulate the hearing response to noises;- Prevention against sound levels that can induce hearing effects that can evolve into chronic injuries by the modelling of absorbing elements that transform sound energy into heat and then dissipating it;- Analysis of road traffic noise attenuation over its path to the inside of a school established at its margins, paying attention to its harmful hearing and non hearing effects on the users of the building;- Development of computational prototype based on logarithmic formulation, coded both in SciLab and C++;- Development of GUI (Guided User Interface) to improve user experience.

Development of the control code necessary for an experimental target object in C++, MatLab, and Arduino environments. The programs must work together to read and write target object pose from MatLab. My work was to be used in the experiments of a senior Ph.D. student .I heavily relied on my programming skills during my placement. I was required to program in multiple environments including: C++ programming, Windows command line programming, Arduino programming, MatLab programming, and Python programming.
