Responsible for helping to complete insurance applications comprising of relevant operational and financial data from HEI and subsidiaries. Assists with preparing statements of values for property insurance renewals. Creates and maintains correspondence, exhibits, extensive spreadsheets and other types of computer data files for insurance purposes. Administers performance/payment bonds for HEI; audits bonds purchased for accuracy and takes independent action as required. Reviews certificates of insurance from company vendors to determine contractual compliance. Coordinates issuance of certificates of insurance for companies to comply with contractual obligations. Provides administrative and budget support and assistance with other functions in the Treasury and Financial Services Department as needed.

Responsible in calculating and processing pension and other Postretirement benefits in compliance with plan documents for employees in the event of retirement, termination, death, divorce or attainment of age 65. Determines eligibility, prepares correspondence, conducts individual meetings with employees, insures completion of required forms, processes benefit payments and required contribution/reimbursements with Pension Trustee. Provides support for pension administration activities: valuation of plan, maintenance and interpretation of plan document, amendments, summary of plan descriptions, and audits. Respond to inquiries from managers, supervisors, employees, retirees, dependents, survivors, ex-spouses, and subsidiary companies. Support HR Service Center with general calls from employees, employee’s family, supervisors, managers, and external vendors and contractors.

Pension Specialist, Responsible in processing and calculating pension and welfare benefits under the company’s define benefit pension and post-retirement plans. Conducts pre-retirement session, maintains data in pension and benefits administration system, and provide administrative support for pension plan administration that includes valuation of plan, maintenance and interpretation of plan provision, amendments, summary plan descriptions, and audit assistance.

Responsible for administering the employee benefits programs for the US Group (Mainland US, Hawaii, Mid-Pacific, Singapore, Okinawa, and Hong Kong) in support of the company’s strategic business objectives. Provides technical support for benefit programs and acts as the liaison between the HR Divisions, Finance, Managers and Insurance Vendors to ensure programs are aligned and support the business goals and objectives of the organization.

Duties are to coordinate and manage the functions and activities related to the overall business of Queen’s Physician Group (QPG) and two other contracted organizations totaling 1300 providers statewide. Supports all activities related to implementing the Health Unified, Inc. (HUI) Strategic Initiatives. Handles all aspect of Human Resources Management and Payroll functions of the company and consults Human Resources Management and Payroll services to clients.

Duties are to process For-Profit Queen’s Health Systems subsidiary companies flexible benefits program, maintain data, report carrier information to insurance companies, and generate monthly billing reports. Administers the flexible spending accounts for both health care and dependent care. Responsible for processing, calculating and counseling the defined benefit pension plans for both Non-Profit and For- Profit companies. Conduct benefits orientation for assigned units during general orientation and in-services. Assist questions in the area of policies and procedures of the Queen’s Medical Center and Subsidiary companies. Support staff in the areas of leave of absences, Temporary Disability Insurance calculations and projections, Open Enrollment programs, Service Award program and other projects as needed.

Duties are to handle all processing of newly hired staff. Complete employee verification for loan processing and reference checks. Screen applicants and refers possible candidates to department managers. Assist in clerical correspondence for Director of Human Resources. Process Workers Compensation injury reports and Temporary Disability Insurance Forms, administer, update, and reconcile bills for non- bargaining benefit programs.

Part-time, live-in position that functions at a peer level. Responsible in managing 50 residents in providing a safe living condition. Also, coordinates special functions and activities for residents.
