Troubleshoot assigned equipment and diagnose the cause of mechanical and electrical faults by visual and auditory checks, using test equipment such as the Maintenance Support Device (MSD) paired with programs like EMS NG and CAT Electronic Technician (CAT ET), compression testers, voltmeters, and pressure gauges. Troubleshoot, remove, disassemble, repair, and/or replace major assemblies and sub-assemblies to include; gasoline, diesel, and JP8 engines (CAT, Kubota, GM, John Deere, Detroit), complicated hydraulic systems, transmissions (GM, Allison, CAT), electrical components, exhaust, air, air conditioning, and fuel systems. Develop improvements and procedures to enhance the workflow of the mission. Perform quality inspections of work completed by subordinates and peers. Advise supervisor on ways to make the workplace more efficient in the way of execution of tasks, tools needed, and changes to processes. Develop and conduct briefings to educate customers of procedures when utilizing the facility as well as acting liaison for those customers.
