The Calgary Alliance for the Common Good is a non-partisan and non-profit alliance of congregations, unions, school and community groups in Calgary representing more than 35,000 people. These organizations came together to form the Calgary Alliance for the Common Good in order to organize the power of our communities to shape a just and compassionate city through effective civic engagement. It is a broad-based organization that is as diverse as Calgary, building relationships among organizations and people from the various community, ethnic, non-profit, labour, and religious groups, all working together to effectively address the real issues facing Calgarians.

IFYC Innovation Fellow and Co-coordinator of AnOther Story; A Canadian Interfaith History Project

The JPII Center is an inter-religious dialogue center at the Pontifical University of St.Thomas Aquinas (Angelicum) in Rome, Italy, which coordinates a year long international fellowship program, The Russell Berrie Fellowship in Interreligious Studies. The Center builds bridges between Christian, Jewish and other religious traditions by providing the next generation of religious leaders with a comprehensive understanding of and dedication to interfaith issues.

The Faith & Spirituality Centre seeks to cultivate a pluralistic community by encouraging cultural and religious literacy, community building, and social change as an integral part of the student experience. I work with students and staff, developing and delivering workshops, trainings, dialogues and events. I also facilitate a week-long intensive Continuing-Education course on Building Religious and Cultural Inclusion in the Workplace.

KAICIID International Fellows Programme is a one-year learning and training program that gives it's fellows, each from different higher education institutions from around the world, the tools, experience, networks and knowledge to pursue inter-religious dialogue (IRD) as well as prepare our own students to become facilitators and leaders in inter-religious dialogue. In addition to IRD, we learn about peacemaking so we are able to train our students in conflict transformation and become active peace practitioners in their respective communities.

One of 10 scholars chosen from around the world chosen to study inter-religious and ecumenical engagement at a Pontifical University in Rome. Studies focused on Jewish-Christian relations and included an 10-day intensive study program in the Holy Land.

I am living and working in a multifaith community at the Stony Point Conference and Retreat Centre, connected to the Presbyterian Church, as member of the Community of Living Traditions, a group dedicated to the practice and study of hospitality, nonviolence and justice.

I organized multifaith events and facilitated interfaith dialogues between faith-based student groups on UBC campus. I promoted the Multifaith Chaplains Association through weekly tabling and at university events and attended bi-weekly Chaplains meetings.

I worked with the Youth Engagement Coordinator to organize a student conference on Religion & Compassion with author Karen Armstrong, focusing on coordination and orientation of the small group dialogue facilitator team.

I am one of the founding members of Faith House Ottawa:a social justice focused interfaith intentional community for students and young professionals that strives to embody the value of radical hospitality. The Faith House community is still going strong after 5 years and has been the model for new Faith House communities in both Vancouver and Toronto.

I worked as half of an inter-religous pair organizing events and local service projects that brought young people from diverse faiths together in Ottawa. We worked with MP's encouraging inter-religious understanding on parliament hill and with the Malaria Caucus, focusing on raising awareness and ending deaths due to malaria.

I recruited, interviewed, trained and orientated new volunteers to work with immigrant and refugee youth (ages 8-24) as academic tutors and mentors. I organized weekly after-school tutoring sessions as well as professional development and community building opportunities for volunteers.

I worked and lived with refugee claimants from around the world. We provided housing and settlement services as well as establishing a welcoming community to receive people fleeing persecution. I helped refugee claimants navigate the Canadian refugee system and adapt to their new culture here in Canada. I worked as part of a close knit team and was involved in the organization of the after-school tutoring program, the women's group and took on the role of administrative assistant.
