With 11 years of practicing experience, helping my patients with anything ranging from debilitating discomforts, ailments, and minor restrictions, to canceling surgeries due to scar tissue reduction, releasing nerve impingements and aiding them in getting back to their life.I began my education in Massage Therapy because I had watched my mother in pain my entire life. From Dr's appointment to specialists, to pain management. All of the solutions were meds, injections and more Dr's appointments. I started looking into holistic therapies, Medical Massage Therapy stood out to me. In 2009 I applied to go to University for Massage Therapy.In 2013 I was rear ended by two vehicles. Causing seven disc herniations, double crush syndrome ( nerve impingements in both neck, and wrists), left shoulder slap tear, bi lateral carpal tunnel, level four and level five, five being the worst you can have.It forced me to be my own patient. To rehabilitate my spine, my wrists, as a Massage Therapist, I kind of need both of those, my shoulder and most importantly my mental health, during this challenge.I was against surgery, they wanted to replace four of my lumbar discs, with cadavers, and do laminectomys to the other three cervical herniated discs. I was only 22 years old at the time and knew that surgery was not for me.However, I was gaining weight, had lost the thrive for life, was living with debilitating nerve pain, I couldn't sleep more than 30 minutes as a time. I was going to therapy, but it just wasn't enough.I ended up gaining 70 pounds. I was depressed, and was unaware of it at the time. The pain was getting worse, all of that excess weight on my damaged spine was a disaster waiting to happen. I write all of this to say, today I am in the best shape of my life.Not only have I defied the odds of spine injuries, I beat cervical cancer naturally, 6 years cancer free, thank God, an alkaline diet and supplements that we offer. (No medical claims being made, this is my own personal experience.)I lift weights 5 days a week, with those diagnosis that is the last thing that is advised.
