As founder, owner, and operator of Venus Fitness for Her, LLC I did everything from train clients, hire and manage employees, to marketing in every form, along with everything else it takes to run a small business. In the time I owned Venus, I created a strong community of women who are health-focus and learned a great deal about this demographic. In 2008, I also founded Fit to Fight Ovarian Cancer Triathlon which is now known as the Mason TriUmphant Triathlon. I created a fun, community oriented event that is known throughout the region. We went from just over 300 participants in 2008 to over 600 participants in 2012 (the last year I owned the race). I was involved in every aspect of the race from logistics to volunteers to vendors, to set up.

Founder and Race Director of independent triathlon to create awareness about ovarian cancer and it's symptoms. We generated approximately $10,000 over 4 years and doubled participation. The last race had 624 participants. The race was the only youth triathlon in the Greater Cincinnati area at it's inception, as well as the only women's only sprint triathlon. Elyse was responsible for managing all race promotion, volunteers, and logistics like post race food, donations, sponsorships, medals, t-shirts, first aid. She was also responsible for hiring and communicating regularly with a race management company to handle timing, road closures, and course development.
