In this role as Departmental Business Partner, Elyse worked with stakeholders to analyse monthly performance and staffing levels against budgets and forecasts. Elyse was responsible for monitoring the financial systems to set budgets, and provide financial advice to key senior stakeholders based on research and analysis of financial results.

During her time at the Department of Education, Skills and Employment, Elyse was responsible for providing regular reports and updates to key senior stakeholders, as well as preparing and maintaining the cost allocation model for the Legal Division, including preparing monthly minutes to Department’s Deputy Secretaries. Elyse then transitioned into an IT Finance Partner role where she was responsible for the upkeep of the IT Capital Project report, as well as liaising with project managers on a monthly basis to ensure that capital/operating forecasts were accurate.A highlight of this role for Elyse was assisting with the transition of reports, budgets, and preparing associated journals as required through Machinery of Government change between the Department of Education and the Department of Employment, Skills, Small and Family Business.

Elyse’s primary responsibility at the Organ and Tissue Authority was to prepare and maintain internal management reports, including CFO report. In addition, it was typical for Elyse to prepare year-end financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, lead schedules, cash flow statements, month end journals and accruals.
